Yeah, it really sucks. 

Has anyone ever heard Sam, Bruce or Rob's reasoning as to why they wont release it?  I know that Rob thinks it's superior to ED.  I havn't heard if Bruce or Sam share this opinion. 

I have a feeling that their super 8 films are very special to them and while their feature films are loved by mass audiences, they want to keep them kinda private. 

It does suck, though.  Especially now that they're all so well off money wise.  Anchor Bay will never be able to bribe it out of them.

I think somewhere down the line, maybe 10 or 15 years, they'll cave and release some of them.  Due to massive fan outcry.

Sam said he doesn't want it released because of his half assed filming or something along that line

In other news, Sam Raimi has been fired off Evil Dead 4 by his own studio for wanting too much money and will be replaced by Brett Ratner.  He has some great ideas for the script, and is very keen to cast zerodriver2k and her sister.
