- The UK video version has been cut by four seconds, to remove a kick to the head.
- The Elite Entertainment laserdisc has a 30-minute behind-the-scenes featurette that shows the filming of footage that never made it into the final U.S. cut, such as:
- A scene where Henrietta gets possessed as Professor Knowby recites the incantations.
- A gorier version (this time using body parts) of the scene where Ash chops up Evil Ed with an axe.
- Aside from several quieter moments (including a demonic Henrietta rocking in her favorite chair), the complete version's also got Linda's severed head throwing up all over Ash when he traps it in the vise, a possessed Ash eating an innocent little squirrel, and the incredibly gruesome dismemberment of Ed after he becomes a demon. Hey, and you remember when Ash was getting pounded by all those streams of blood? Well, they originally changed not only to black, but also yellow, green, and orange
- The BBFC passed an uncut version of Evil Dead 2 for video and DVD release in October 2001.
