The Evil Dead series runs in strange ways. Here's the story from beginning to end.

It was written long ago. When the seas ran red blood, Necronomicon ex Mortis, roughly translated, Book Of The Dead - Evil Dead 2/Army Of Darkness

Ash, the chosen one falls from the sky to the year 1300AD equipped with chainsaw and double barreled shotgun. He is taken to Candar and after defeating deadites in a pit is hail as a savior. He replaced his chainsaw hand with a metal hand. He must then quest for the Necronomicon. He raises both the army of the dead and his evil twin after reading the wrond spell but with the help of both Arthur and Duke Henry's men, they defeat the evil deadites. Ash takes a spell to sleep for six hundred years until he awakens in his own time - Army Of Darkness Ash in Army Of Darkness

Up to the present and Professor Knowby along with his wife Henriette, daughter Annie and Professor Ed Getly discover the Book Of The Dead in a hidden chamber of the Castle Of Candar- Evil Dead 2

Professor Knowby and his wife head to a small cabin in the Tennessee woods to study the book. The professor translates the book and awakens an evil spirit - Evil Dead 2 Professor Knowby's tape recorder

Ash and a group of his friends head off for a quiet weekend in a small cabin in the Tennessee woods. They find an old book and a tape recorder of the professors translations. After listening to the recordings they are attacked by evil spirits and one by one fall victim to the evil dead. Through the night Ash must slaughter his friends, he burns the book. Ash is then attacked by a wind demon - The Evil Dead Ash and his friends

Ash awakens just in time to spend a second night in the cabin. Ash's hand is possessed and he must chop it off with chainsaw. He is joined by Annie Knowby, Ed Getly, Bobby Joe and Jake. Annie has some more pages of the book. Ash must once again battle the deadites to surivive. Everyone is killed besides Ash and Annie. As equips double barreled shotgun and places a chainsaw on instead of his missing hand before he does battle with the professors wife, Henriette. Annie reads a spell to open a rift in time to dispell the evil. Annie is killed and Ash is sucked into rift - Evil Dead 2 Ash in Evil Dead 2

Ash awakens from his six hundred year sleep to resume his normal life. After Ash once again read the wrong spell deadites begins possessing people. Ash battles deadites in Shop Smart and defeats them - Army Of Darkness Released Ending Ash in Shop Smart

After eight years Ash once again returns to the cabin to battle deadites - Evil Dead: Hail To The King Ash battling in Hail To The King

Ash awakens one hundred years in the future after realising he took too many drops of the potion. The world has been destoryed by a Nuclear war - Army Of Darkness Alternative Ending Ash in the future in alternative ending
