3 More Questions with
Bruce Campbell

Only one "3 Questions" installment with fan-favorite character actor Bruce Campbell just wouldn't be enough, would it? That's why CINESCAPE is happy to present part two of our discussion with Bruce, who's currently hard at work
in New Zealand on his new adventure series, Jack of All Trades. And he seems to be taking the show's title to heart--along with starring in and
co-producing Jack, Campbell is writing a book about low-budget filmmaking, Confessions of a B-movie Actor, and directing a short documentary on die-hard genre fans called Fanalysis. Here's Campbell's update on all his projects:

Cinescape: Does Jack of All Trades' half-hour format mean that the shooting schedule is a little less hectic than the schedules for Xena and Hercules, shows which you frequently appeared on as a guest-star and director?

Bruce Campbell: No, it's exactly the same heavy load on a day-to-day basis, we just finish our season sooner, which is all part of my master plan to actually have a life. I'll be in New Zealand 6 months out of the year, then I can wander the earth as I see fit after that. The normal TV schedule is nine months, so I'm getting off easy this time.

When can fans expect to see your documentary, Fanalysis? Will it be released theatrically or straight to video?

It's being edited right now and will be done later this year. I hope to release it with my book this fall, but that can't be confirmed yet. It'll be about a half hour long, so when it's done, I'll have to see who wants it.

How is your book, Confessions of a B-movie Actor, coming along? When do you expect it to come out? How do you find the time to write?

I just turned in a second draft of the book. Now, we'll edit it down and go through the tech process. It's due through St. Martin's press this fall. As far as the time to write the darned thing, I've just had to use my time well over a very long period.

Let's break the rules a bit and ask you a fourth question: We're dying to know whatever happened to Roc Sandstorm? Does he have any projects in the works?

Roc isn't me--that has been falsely attributed to me via the Internet. I'm sure he's a swell guy.
