ED1 Lit Film Cell 2019 Display

This was a 2019 project to make a display case for some ED1 film sells I bought. There are fifty-two 35mm cells, all individual.

Here you can see some making-of photos. It's basically a picture frame with a lit box behind it, with the film cells sandwiched between two pieces of glass in front of the box. I custom made it from wood, bought the glass sheets, and created the black frame to hold the cells in place. I bought a cheap 35mm film cutter to do the cutting, that needed some work to make it light up underneath so I could see what I was doing. The final effects is pretty decent!
