The reason we say 'deliberately altered' is that from book to book, and scene to scene, there are massive discrepencies in tears, layout, and image placement that shows us there was not a consistent layout to the book. for example if you look below, 2 shots of the same page layout from 2 episodes in 2 different seasons, and u can see the writing above the skull is not the same, save nothing of the inserts missing.
So with inconsistency like this throughout the show, it made it hard to determine an order, let alone the definitive look of each page, ie a distinctive set in stone, no doubt this is how it looks type thing. SO i looked at alllll the auction photos of pages, and i looked at all the screen used, production used scans people would send me, and i leaned to tom sullivan as a yardstick in terms of 'order' when i could, but i essentially took all the artwork i could find, and laid it out to have a consistent look that preserves the art of the show, but also did not recycle as much work as they did to create 100 images loyal to the show, and frankensteined together from existing pages to create an authentic looking book that would stand up to being thumbed through without seeing massive replication (unless it was mandatory for some reason).
so using shots like below to refer to where pages should go, we began to establish what were definitive 'right sides' and 'left sides' and in that sense, we have loyalty because pages that appear in pairs are still in pairs in our replica, however the ORDER of them? who knows. see below for the references.
so we knew the dimensions of cover and the latex look because of the auction, we knew how many stitches it needed in each section, and we had aquired almost 40 unique pages that became 100 pages after some effort, all we needed to do was have CB STUDIOS sculpt us a cover and bind it up around the pages.

the weathering varies from light to heavy depending on the recipient's preferences, as does the cover paint job which is done in 'SHOW DARK" or "AUCTION LIGHT" to reflect our reference material.
