Dawn 04 I felt was very flawed, especially compared to the original which is actually one of my all time favorite movies. Yeah, it had good moments but a lot more bad ones. This trend of horror remakes is never going to end, which fucking sucks, so venting about them is really the only thing fans can do.

So hell yeah that movie did suck hard!

Man, you don't even have to vent. You don't like them? Fine, don't see them or rent them, don't give them any money. But let us who enjoy them talk about them without having to read about them sucking hard fat ones.

WTF dude? I'm not personally attacking anyone by saying I don't like a movie. If you don't like my post then don't read it. I at least give reasons to why I dislike a certain movie and what I find flawed about it then recommend other ones. If everyone had the same opinions then the discussions would be pretty damn boring.

I don't eat mayonnaise. You're not going to get mad at me for that either, are you?

What I am trying to say to haters out there....  It is ok to hate them (I mean, we do live in a facist world), but it is usually LESS annoying not having to hear about sucking hard or fucking sucking. A simple I did not enjoy this because "insert friendly reason here".

Now let me state that talking about the trend of remakes or sequels is going off-topic, just like how people tend to point all of these threads. We DO HAVE a thread dedicated to remakes in general, go post there with hate.

No, this is NOT a facist world. Hitler lost the war. And I'm not talking about remakes, I'm talking about discussing movies in gernal and having the right to say what you want about them.

The thing that is beautiful about the internet is that everyone has an opinion. If you want to check out a movie on IMDB or Netflicks, you have a variety of people who review and rate it. You get the good and the bad. Some people will love a movie, some people will hate it. The bad reviews can be just as helpful as the good ones. If someone doesn't like your movie, don't get so damn offended.

This is the last time I'm going to post about this.

Well the facist thing is for another discussion another time..

And it's perfectly fine not liking a movie and not liking a trend, I never said it wasn't. But what I am getting at is how posters are going about it here is way immature and quite frankly, annoying. Want to post that you don't like it? Fine, go for it. But post mature reviews/discussions. We don't need sexual innuendos that spark hate.

Let me remind everyone of the rules here http://www.deadites.net/forums/index.php?topic=229.0 . Pointless posts (Including ones that say you suck hard) are against the rules.

I think the horror remakes need to stop. None of them have topped the previous movie in any case as far as I've seen. Some of them have been at least watchable and they've been sucktastic. Eventually we will get to remakes of remakes.

Like The Maltese Falcon? and Invasion of the Body Snatchers?

Once every blue moon you get a good remake. I love both The Departed and Infernal Affairs. Same applies to Yojimbo and A Fistful of Dollars. Its just gotten to a point where remaking a certain movie is less about artistic decision and more about cashing in on rehashing old ideas.
