Sorry if this is something that gets brought up a lot. I'm confused about something, and figured this would be a good place to ask.
I've always thought that Ash's last name was Lambert, but I've been seeing him referred to as Ash Williams (like on wikipedia). If his last name is Williams, then where did Lambert come from? I've been calling him Ash Lambert for the past 15 or so years, and I'm not the only one. Any help on this?

Heh, weird. I have never heard referred to as "Lambert" in any form or medium.
As far as the movie series goes, his last name is never referenced. He's referred to as Ash Williams in comics and video games, but these are arguably unofficial.
...Lambert? Really?

Full Name : Ashley J Williams Although in the 80's Sam Raimi referred to him as Ash Holt  In all my years of being interested in the Evil Dead movies I have never heard him be referred to as Ash Lambert. |

That's so weird. I wonder where I first picked up "Lambert." Like I said, it's not just me. A lot of people I've talked to, and have known, always used "Lambert." You can even find some people referring to him as Ash Lambert online, when talking about Evil Dead on forums, etc.
Anyway, thanks for the help.

i know its Ash J Williams. When i was at a horror movie confetion (where bruce was signing autographs) i found
a s-mart employee parking permit. it clearly says Ash J Williams on it
