I haven't played any of those systems but I'd be inclined towards the PS3 as I own a PS2 and it's backwardly compatible. That and the PS3 is the most powerful machine out there... even if it is rather expensive and lacking in game support at the moment.
I have to admit though the Xbox 360 sounds pretty impressive. I'm just not really a fan of microsoft and the things I hear about the system pretty much backs this up. (For example just today my Windows system has messed up!). A few years back, even though I knew the coming Xbox would be more powerful than the PS2, I still went ahead and got the PS2 for that reason. That and I wanted a hardware integrated DVD player at the time.
As for the Wii, the control system sounds a lot of fun, but the type of games aren't really my thing.

Where is the option for older systems like the Nes or Super Nes. I have always liked the older systems a lot better since there are more choices as far as the number of games made for them. The new systems such as X-box, Playstation 3, Gamecube, and even Nintendo 64 to a smaller extent are way to expensive and to few really good games have been made for them. So my vote (a write in of some sorts) goes to the original game system the Nintendo.

I know I have never played any of them so I thought I'd throw in my two cents on the subject, for what its worth. Perhaps there are others out there that haven't played or bought any of them so maybe we can at some point make a poll for all systems but I'll hold off on that for now. Hopefully, this will open some dialog on the subject of video games and there perspective systems.

I have both the 360 and the Wii.. I haven't given the Wii much time of day, I tried one game and couldn't do anything so I let my little brother swing away and look stupid, but now for some reason he can kick my butt. The 360 is my personal favorite just because I'm a fanboy to the system, I'm not a microsoft lover in any sense of the term, but I do love me some Halo. I was lucky enough to get a first run 360 and I haven't had any problems with it. It got warm after leaving it on overnight and such so I bought a clip on cooling system assisstant that works well, I'm thinking of adding on another one that connects to the bottom because I'm paranoid, but I just love the system.
My main complaint is that Microsoft is a money whore and they released a cooler Elite system that was black and had an HDMI port so I'm stuck with my white one... It wouldn't be smart to shell out more cash when in another year and a half the third xbox will be out.
