The Original Shape from 1978 without a doubt and Freddy from Nightmare 1 a close second.

I accidentally clicked Freddy. I wasnt thinking and i read Myers, blech, sorry.
I love freddy's mockery and torture, but he and jason didnt really scare me at all. Myers, however, (NOTE: ONLY in Halloween 1), accompied by that timeless carpenter score, scared the living snot out of me the first time.

I actually watched half of the original Halloween without the score. I know the music was one of the best parts, but its amazing how silly the film is without it.

I always found Freddy the scariest, although he's not my favorite villain.

I voted Freddy but Jason will always be my favorite killer. Although I think part 2, and 4 Jason was scarier then Michael in part 4,5, and so on.

Jason never scared me. You always know hes just gonna go from A to B in a straight line and butcher the victims very forseeably. He doesnt toy with victims like Freddy does.
Also, in that ass-trocious "Freddy V Jason", Jason was made the lesser of 2 evils, and thus almost like a good guy. Very unscary, dude.
The idea of something entering your dreams is downright cool.. i wish i could do that.

I know Freddy and Michael are scarier overall then Jason but I think Jason was scarier then all of them the first time we see him in the original Friday the 13th leaping out of the lake- at least to me he was. We can all blame the writers/directors or producers of all 3 franchises for making all of these killers superheros (especially blame people like Rob Zombie, Adam Marcus, Jim Isaac and Rachel Talalay) so now we can only judge these films by the killer's style of killing and story. I'm sure it would be hard to make any of these characters scary again unfortunately.

I voted Jason because I like him best, and don't find any of them scary. I think Jason's just got (as far as these characters go) a richer mythology, whereas Michael's is so convoluted and silly.

lol the last I heard Michael had something to do with the cult of Samhain and was the product of eugenics, or something like that. Maybe they cleaned up the continuity in the one I didn't see, with Busta Rhymes and webcams.
