apprently there is a lot of debate on whether this comic is even real.. based on the fact that the teaser art is an amalagamation of other artwork : The Teaser Artwork: The Originals: Anyone else think this might be fake?

Awesome!!!
Was kinda nervous as no body in the comic shop were i work had even heard of it and then someone pointed out that the teaser art was just photoshopped together.
God im so excited for this...
One, two, Ash is coming for you. Three, four, 'cause you're his kind of whore. Five six, he's got his boomstick. Seven eight, he just wants to procreate. Nine, ten, pillow talk again...

...My only real concern is that the writer also does Dynamite's AOD comic.....which blows.
Ah, well....guess we don't have long to wait & see......

Yeah. I really wanna like James Khoric cos he's a BIG AOD fan....just a really average writer. But he's working from the original treatment, so, wait and see. And, yeah that IS the official promo art. Lazy huh?

For me personally, the best Freddy and Jason movies were the ones where you had a clear hero – like in Dream Warriors or the Tommy Jarvis stuff, going against these guys. For many of the last sequels, the villains were the heroes – you were actually rooting for the villains to kill the kids. This movie was about returning it to the way that it should have been, where you’ve got a hero that you’re rooting for to get out alive
Looks like somebody doesn't understand the genre. Back when the movie was a possibility I was looking forward to it, so reading now that the guy who wrote it has no idea what he's doing replaces my disappointment with relief.

No. It's real alright. Here is the Official DC Site where there is some tentive art for the other issues. It sounds like an intresting read to me.

I just got it today... If you put the three covers together, there's a big ass picture of Ash, Freddy, and Jason standing in fighting poses, side by side by side.
The comic is decent, and quite gruesome. It has the potential to be pretty fucking cool. Worth the money, if you guys can grab a copy. It sold like mad here, and this is a tiny town.

I just tracked down a copy of it yesterday but for some reason its under the radar. I say that because IGN broke some news about it when it was first announced but nothing has been updated so I thought maybe it got held but no I went into a comic book store yesterday and there was Freddy Vs. Jason Vs. Ash Sold Out! I was totally bummed out but I went to another store and found all three covers. So if you sit them all side by side its one large image, each one having Ash on one, jason on another and freddy on another. P.S. Here is a link to the companies web site: http://www.dccomics.com/comics/?&s=33 Also note that the next comic will be released tomorrow Nov. 28th

Hard to find - but from what I hear worth it. A pal of mine works in a comic shop - so for christmas he's shipping the first and second issue out to me apparently. Score.

It's a good book. Ash is written way better than usual and there is a sense that it may have made a good film if the right director was attached. All in all it was an opportunity wasted and a good swansong for 3 franchises that have all been slated for remakes making the original series redundant. RIP my childhood.
