Evil Dead: The Musical: The MOVIE!?

Thanks to Safster putting the idea in my head I bought the soundtrack and I'm impressed. I thought it'd be some geeks messing around but the songs are so well written and Ryan Ward is awesome. So I went further and managed to find the show viewable online. It's the original run without the S-Mart ending and I cursed the fact unless a windfall comes my way I'll never see it live.
Then in my mad scurry for info I saw on Wikipedia that a movie may be coming. I know it's unreliable as a news source so I tried google and thought I found something at the soundtracks myspace page.
Does anyone know anything. It'd be more fun than Hairspray... maybe.

I have not heard anything of this rumour...Though the idea amuses me muchly. Also "more amusing than Hairspray" D: But...But I freaking love Hairspray...*Hides her other crazy musical soundtracks*
Don't think I don't expect you to know all the lyrics to "Housewares Employee" and "Join Us" for this weekend because I will, Muahahaha...

The whole show indeed. One snag, the second part of the download is all screwed up and keeps repeating 2 minute portions multiple times. It ruins "Do The Necronomicon" plus the original ending is a bit lame and after hearing "Blew That Bitch Away" couldn't compare. Plus whoever did a doo da with the footage (I want to use the word 'encode' but such at tech speak) used a program that leaves a line of script or something on the screen.
Remember part 2 skips. Unless someone can edit it properly it will annoy guaranteed. But the longer part one is awesome.

I have talked with the writer of the show numerous times about this and its my understanding that due to the copyright isssues with Mr Raimi that it wont happen anytime soon.
Now thats not saying it WONT happen, but I wouldnt expect it until after "ED:The Remake" comes out, and since that seems to be a slow process Im not hoping for much right now.

I have found a few people who claim to have video footage of this show on Ebay.
One of them is the footage from Just For Laughs(as per the link above) and the other one is someone claiming they have it from a matinee performance in NY.
I try to avoid buying things like this on ebay, but I ll admit Im tempted. lol
Once the writer of the show gets back from Korea, I ll ask him if there is something planned for a video.
