I saw it last night and have to say it wasnt as good as i thought it would be..  Yes the begginging was different but after that it was almost the same movie with all the same death scenes but with a bit of added sparkle. I was kind of bored with the opening of the film because i found the young boys portrayal of Micheal Myers as quite lame and lack lustre and the whole scenario was over stretched and when it jumped to the "present" day it was like the film rushed itself to find an ending without having the film run past 110 minutes.

Overall a few shocks that did do its job but i really am beggining to see why "remakes" are a really pointless idea unless you do something really different with the film that warrants such an idea.

No remakes of modern classics would be a start  Smiley

Don't worry about me, I just need to defend remakes/sequels with my life!!!!!!!! So yeah, I am the minority here.

hmm. remakes. no remakes. i spose they can overdose the franchises all they want as long as it doesnt change my perception of the originals. This would include being bombarded by conversatons about the remakes from the newer audiences.

i tend to see remakes with this principle: regardless of the quality of the remakes, even if they're good, dont get involved in something where making money is more important than artistic merit.
