haha I'll give you guys a laugh then -- this is my first ever film, we didn't actually have a director, we did it in a sort of voting system and if you were outvoted you just backed down, so I can't take credit there... but this was the first thing I ever animated at uni (2 yrs ago). It was a lipsynch project, and we now jokingly call it 'The Comic that Nearly Lived' XD there's very little movement... I animated the little kid and did the background.
it's called 'When Harry Met Death' :
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kqVP5W9h2DEhaha this was what we did next, a short called 'Filthy Rich' that I do have to say I directed. Massive learning curve there, legend has it if you can tell what the hell happens in this film you are actually a member of a secret society not unlike the Illuminati. It makes very little sense, but my brother did the music and it was a good exercise in post production.
http://www.vimeo.com/422597 Where it says it was a 'four month' project we actually spent four weeks on pre-production, three weeks animating, two weeks cleaning up, scanning and colouring the drawings, two weeks on the sound and another two or so weeks trying to composite it with our crap equipment, so we didn't get to animate for four months unfortunately ... it would've been better for it if we had.
The one I'm working on now is going pretty well for the moment. There's always the off chance it will end up making as much sense as filthy rich did, but if it does... there is always the next one. There's a gallery for it on my deviant art with some conceptual stuff there:
http://vimfuego.deviantart.com/gallery/#Chasin-TailHopefully you can see it's a 1950s style romantic comedy. It's called 'Chasin' Tail' and should be finished by April at the latest (or else we all fail!).
After that I'm going to try some lighthearted horror
