Well there are rumors going around...

"Not long after we mentioned this article from Variety stating that Bryan Singer is highly unlikely to direct the Superman Returns sequel, Latino Review posted more possible bad news for the second film -- Brandon Routh may not return either as Clark Kent/Superman.

According to the site, the actor that lands the Superman role in George Miller's Justice League will go on to star in a separate Superman movie as well.

Again, none of this is official until the studio actually confirms or denies these rumors (about both Singer and Routh), so it will be a wait-and-see game for now."

Now some other people are saying different...

"It seems that different moles over at Warner Bros. are not seeing eye to eye over Brandon Routh donning the tights once again. As you know, we passed along the speculation from Latino Review that WB has decided to let go of Routh's services in favor of whoever plays Supes in the upcoming JLA movie. That actor would end up playing the character in future individual installments of the character, outside of the JLA franchise. As I said yesterday, this bit of speculation flew against previous confirmed reports that WB wanted to keep the two franchises (JLA and Superman) seperate.

Now, AICN is reporting the exact opposite. Their mole says Brandon Routh will continue playing the Superman character in future individual films regardless of what LR is reporting.

I personally would prefer seeing Routh play Superman in any live action movie. I think he did a great job as successor to Christopher Reeves (who is still, the best Superman ever).

I think the film going under new direction other than Synger could be a good thing, as long as it has a good director.

Well Sam Raimi can't do every superhero movie hehe.. But my main concern is that Superman could go the way of Batman.. It felt like every new movie we get a new actor(well almost...). I hope Routh stays in for a long time.

Well, it was going to happen... But right now we are getting Batman and Superman sequels, plus a Justice League movie. In all honesty, I doubt we will see a versus movie.
