With the talk of the rumore about Rocky Horror Picture show, I thought it would be cool to see what you guys would want to see as a remake.

I'll start off with what i've thought since it came out, a new better cooler Spawn film that followed the story.

Well lets please keep naysayers away. If you don't want any remakes, stop and turn away.

I would like to see the Escape from New York remake actually happen. Re-Animator would be cool (once again, fans of Jeffrey Combs please no bashing). Another Red Dawn would be quite fun now.

Critters

Not sure if you've seen it or not but on the Nightmare on Elm Street Infinifilm 2 disc set there's a featurette called "The House that Freddy Built" where they talk about all of New Line Cinema's movies and franchises.  One guy says and I quote, "We are looking to resurrect the Critters franchise.

I havn't heared anything since but my fingers are crossed.  With the exception of Critters 2 I thought the sequels were pretty bad so I think a remake would be the way they'd go.

I'd like to see a prequel to A Nightmare on Elm Street.  Like they did with TCM The Beginning.

As for horror remakes, I'd like to see Polterguist, Salem's Lot, The Serpent and the Rainbow and even, though it's already been remade once, The Thing.

Remakes can be a blessing or a curse. I think remakes should only be made to improve upon and not just for the hell of it, like all these remade horror flicks coming out. I'd like to see Daredevil and Ghost Rider remade, thats for damn sure. Both of these were letdowns. I was disapointed by these heavily.

Aliens would be great but it'd be really hard to improve just about any Ridley Scott film.  With the exception of special fx and such.  I mean, I'd go see it.

To mention another Scott film, one of my all time faves, I'd looove to see a Blade Runner remake or sequel.

IMO it's really hard to find directors and new casts to actually honor and improve apon the movies they're remaking.  I think thats why so many suck ass.  It's a delicate situation especially with films that have pretty big followings.

I watched the Dawn of the Dead remake for the first time in a while last night.  I thought they did a wonderful job honoring Romero's flick.  Leaving in great stuff like the scene when they talk about why the zombies are coming to the mall and having Ken Foree say the "When there's no more room in hell" quote, as well as creating great new stuff like the zombie birth.  For sure a top notch remake.

As for the comments about Escape from New York remake... haven't we already proven time and time again that John Carpenter movies shouldn't be remade?

Seriously every Carpenter remake sucked hard.
And I wish they would finally make the prequel to Alien not a remake because i really want to know where they came from and whats up with the ship, I like to think that it was a Predator ship that captured an alien but then got taking over by the aliens then crashed on that planet.

Films that shouldnt be remade but are:

Clash of the Titans (FIERCE FACE!) >/

One I'm stoked on? The new Attack of the killer tomatoes. Especially because they want to offer Bruce a part in it. Score.

I cant believe "Attack of the Killer Tomatoes" is really that old and it is one movie I would not mind seeing remade. Hopefully, I am not the only one on here that remembers the tv show that was on in the early 90's with John Astin or as I like to call him Prof. Wickwire from "The Adventures of Brisco County Jr." Which brings up an interesting idea to say the least they should have both Mr. Astin and Bruce in the new movie together for a reunion of some sort.

i admit the remake of The Fog was bad, but it did explain some bits that were not covered in the original, i don't think the Space Jockey in the Derilict from Alien was a Yautja too big if anyone has the Earth Hive Trilogy books or comics or Aliens omnibus volume 1 it shows what it looks like
