I think it was a fitting gig for Rob Zombie considering everything he has done has either been a remake and blatant rip off of Texas Chainsaw Massacre. The guy really needs to stop directing movies and focus on his music which hasn't been all that good either come to thank of it. Halloween needs to go away too.

Well I really enjoyed H1kC/Devils Rejects.  What director doesn't rip off anyways? Pretty much everything is a copy of everything.

Haven't seen it cos it's not come to England yet. I heard from bloody-disgusting.com that even though it's made $26,503,000 Harvey and Bob Weinstein are having DOUBTS about doing any sequels... This could mean the end of the Halloween saga and just shows how DAMAGING remakes can be to good franchises as this one may have killed Michael for good. Similarly the only sequel after the TCM remake has been TCM: the beginning which seems like it may be Leatherface's last outing. This is yet another reason why I hate remakes. Looks like Michael's gonna be fighting Freddy, Leatherface and Jason from now on...

It took in over $30 million for the holiday weekend breaking records. It only cost $15mil to make.  While it won't hit $100mil, it definately is a success. Oh and this isn't even including dvd sales it will get. Expect a sequel.

I saw it opening night, I thought it ruled even though there was some weak parts in the script and way to much sex,  it was still a great movie

Too much like the original and yet at the same time, NOTHING like the original, it basically used NOTHING good from the original movie and everything they added onto the story was pointless and ridiculous. Michael was scarier when he was "the shape".

There were also plot holes you could drive a truck through.

(SPOILERS!)

A. When Michael goes to the Strode house to "question" Laurie's adopted parents, he kills the mother without her telling him ANYTHING. So he has no idea whatsoever of where Laurie is. Yet 5 minutes later, he ends up at Lindsey's house. How the hell did that happen? That is just BAD screenwriting in my opinion and no amount of "Its just a movie" can convince me that its a forgivable thing.

(end spoilers)

Not to mention the fact that Loomis became a complete pansy in this one, I liked it better when Donald Plesence had no problem capping Micheal six times without hesitation rather than trying to REASON with a psychopath like a dumbass.

Oh. and Michael runs in this, COMPLETELY unacceptable.

Basically the first 30 minutes were interesting, then they just became stupid.

It is not released in the UK untill October but I have seen the workprint and unless the Theatrical version was much improved I cannot see it being very good.
