Has anyone had a chance to pick it up yet?

I bought it yesterday and I must say, from what I've played it's the best Ninja Gaiden game thus far. It doesn't really change much, but the gameplay (which is the highlight of the franchise)has been improved greatly. There is nothing more satisfying than chopping off an enemy ninjas arms, then a leg, and then lopping off his head to finish him off. Smiley

You know, I don't really care for having a "tough challenge" from a game anymore. I don't want to have everything to be a "walk through the park", but I would like a game to be beatable without getting killed 20 times per level... With that said, Ninja Gaiden for xbox was too damn tough (I don't care if anyone else is uber good). When I look at the character of Hayabusa, I want to think he is a badass, which he wasn't.

Now, if I find out Ninja Gaiden 2 isn't a bunch of bantha poodoo then I will check it out.

I think Ryu Hayabusa fits the title of badass perfectly. Tongue Especially in Ninja Gaiden II.

And yes, NGII is hard...in fact, I'd say it's harder than the one for the X-Box. However, it does have an easy mode available and while the bosses are still pretty tough, some of the normal enemies seem a bit easier. Well, at least until the fifth chapter.

It's a tough game. However, it's supposed to be and that's what I love about the series.

It is usually more fun if you can actually go somewhere without pulling your hair out...

I do not own any of the new systems, right now. So when I heard about this game it certainly peeked my interest a little bit to say the least. I  certainly would have thought this game would be based of the Nintendo version of Ninja Gaiden II but its not at all. And if the game was not hard then it wouldn't be befitting of the title Ninja Gaiden or "Ninja Goddamn" as we liked to call it around here. Its pretty cool but I wish they would have stuck with the Tecmo name and not Team Ninja because they made some bad ass games, especially for Nintendo.

I'm playing right now. It's so awesome.  I'm a master of the original and thoroughly enjoying the sequel. It's gory I love it.
