I recently got into this show after the whole Cloverfield viral marketing, I stumbled upon Lost viral marketing and it seemed cool. I know there's a lot of fans of Lost, and just as many people who dislike, but I my girlfriend's sister lent me the first three seasons and I finally got caught up... It's really crazy, I like the twists and the secrets. The show is so addicting, but I can totally see how people would get mad at with every answer we get three more questions, but it didn't really affect me because I watched episodes back to back without having to wait... but now with Season 4 I feel the original fan's pain So who else digs this show? Who doesn't like it and why? Maybe we can discuss our theories and what not! - Your friendly neighbourhood Westcroft

Loved season one. Gave up halfway through season 2 (Hobbit in a diaper episode) but caught up when things started to get interesting. Gave up on season three. The last time Lost was great was the first Locke story of Season one - the ending of that episode broke a hole in the space/awesome continuum. By the last episode I watched, in which a character said they would only join if so-and-so was hit by a bus (three, two, one... HIT BY A BUS!), just put me off forever.
I hear Season Three had an awesome climax but I'm just gonna wait until the show ends and rampantly catch up toward the "ending". As a kid I hated leaving things unfinished, I would never fall asleep during a film or miss a single episode of a tv show, but old age has changed me. I still have to finish the last Season of 24, two seasons of Scrubs and Season 2 of Prison Break.
Plus so many new shows on the block: Dexter, Burn Notice, Heroes. And so many old shows to buy and savour on dvd: The A-Team, Quantum Leap and my current favourite MacGuyver. Plus getting back into The Incredible Hulk and realising what a gem that show was.
Lost is a show about faith. All the characters either have too much or too little. I think it prays on people to have faith the ending will be satisfying but I guarantee the writers are no closer to a satisfying conclusion...
Unless MacGuyver turns up on the island and frees them all with a biro and some dental floss.

man the last season of 24 i bought was season 4, I need to get my hands on 5 and 6 I remember when season one was out and I was like "if they make it to season 7, this will be great... a whole weeks worth of television " I've managed to pick up all the seasons of Scrubs however, I must say season 3, 4 and 5 are my favorite... but season 6 tried to push too much story way too fast. Like usually an episode had it's own little story and a little bit regarding the big picture... for example something like Carla and Turk getting married (hope that didn't ruin anything) or Dr. Cox getting back together with Jordan... those big picture events happened every little while but the show usually stayed very "little" picture ... however in Season 6 it was like one thing after another. I recommend it though, it's still a great season. As for Lost, I do agree the coincidences and what not in Lost can be kinda silly.

Slightly off topic.... as is my nature.
Eli Roth is... ah forget it.
Skip a doo to 24 season 5. THE best season in TV history. More twists and turns than ever before. There is one line of dialogue which sums up the season perfectly but it's a HUGE spoiler and, oddly enough, was featured in the DVD trailer. Thanks FOX!
I used to watch Lost back to back as my friend would download them in chunks. There are some great episodes that stand out but too much ignored. Season 3 suddenly became the Jack, Kate and Sawyer show and she went and boffed the Texan? How many girls have guys like us lost to men like him? When the show went back to the other characters it felt a little forced whereas the first 2 seasons had equal time for all.
A minor gripe but when Ben said he was Henry Gale I immediately thought of The Wizard of Oz and then he mentioned a hot-air balloon and I DEFINATELY thought of Wizard of Oz. Yet not one person thought "EH?"
Then it turned out there WAS a Henry Gale which sacked my plan. And where the hell is the black smoke?? Having a long sneaky fag break?
If you like Lost try the UK show Life On Mars. Weird stuff but it reaches resolution quickly.

I own season 1 of Lost on dvd. Season 1 was great, but the show just kept getting annoying with every episode past that.
Here are the shows that i'm currently enjoying/collecting on dvd: Veronica Mars Highlander (was a sweet show) Angel (going through it again, bought whole set on Amazon for $70)

Eeps to the highlander show, I never really got into it... but seriously, there can only be one and Christopher Lambert was that one. Highlander: Endgame, which ignored the highlander movies and was a spawn of the show, could quite possibly be in my top five most hated movies as well... not so much because it sucked, ruined the franchise, tried to rekindle a lost cause, made Lambert a supporting character and stump him out of the franchise to move it into something more fresh and marketable down line, etc... but also because the trailer had scenes that weren't in the movie... thus making the trailer better than movie!

Well Endgame had something a lot of movies don't have, and that's balls.
SPOLIER WARNING ! ! ! ! ! Killing off Lambert was almost as harsh as if Ash were to be killed off. ! ! ! ! ! END OF SPOILER

**SPOILERS***
It was more forced than it was dramatic, it was basically "I'm too old to be in another highlander movie, and believable fight the boss and win, without the audience laughing at the stupidity of it all"... I'll never understand why they couldn't just leave the movies alone, but I guess when there's money to be made the artform loses sanctity.
They could've done it way better or if they wanted something believable and ballsy, maybe he could've fought the Bruce Payne and died. That would've been sad, not melodramatic.

I love the first Highlander ,not just because all the songs were from Queen, but because it was really a good movie but then they had to make more and I hated that, like that one with the Chinese guy it was just ripping off the first one plus it totally sucked. I never saw that new anime that came out like 4 months ago but I bet it sucked also.
