What do you get out of being a fan?

I'm doing an assignment on fandom and would love to know what you think you get from being an active fan of Evil Dead, or what you think the advantages are of being a fan. Sorry to be boring.

What do i get out of being a fan of the Evil Dead well besides knowing that i'm better then most people, you are really cooler if your a fan especially if its great movies that most people have never even heard of.So yeah you can already tell i'm egotistical  can't you.

I feel a sense of stability, Knowing that someone... A whole lot of people like the same thing as you, and share similar interests.... BIATCH!!!

I love the fact that Evil Dead has SENSIBLE fans...none of this crazy stuff which I've seen happen in fandoms all too often. Then again sometimes I regret I have no other girlyfriends online who I can have a long-ass discussion about what's been happening in the comics and sit and doodle Ash fanart with just because we can.

Regretfully, I'm a very broke fan which means I hardly have any collectibles at all aside from a couple of old VHS tapes, "A fistful of Boomstick" and "If chins could kill". I'm also an extreme Resident Evil fan which means the little money I have often get spent on necessary Umbrella Inc. patches for my jacket. =D
What do I get out of being a fan, hmm... Well, I get to enjoy some of the best movies ever made and I get to shun that pansy Chuck Norris.

what do i get out of being a fan of evil dead films? I GET TO MEET ACTORS!!!!!!! and since you are a fan of something you can make other fan friends and talk about. to bad for me I'm only in 6th and people make fun of me for liking this kind of stuff.

Anyone makes fun of you for liking things as cool as The Evil Dead are some of the lowest people there are.And don't even pay  any attention to them when they do that know that your better then them.
