Matt Dillon would make a good Ashley Williams

Yeah remember they are only supposed to remake bad movies that some prick thinks he can make better. But then again they have remade and are still remaking cult classics like Assault on Precinct 13 , and now supposedly Rocky Horror.But then again I doubt it would happen.

Someone other then Bruce Campbell playing Ash is like someone other then William Shatner playing Captain Kirk. the actor is so intertwined with the character that it is near impossible to separate the two.

I hate to resort to thread jacking but I think the guy playing Captain kirk is Chris Pine (whoever the hell that is), and how the hell they decided on Karl "Don't call me Eomer" Urban for Bones is beyond me. They make these changes yet Leonard Nimoy gets to be in it. At any rate Bruce Campbell can not be replaced by anyone when it comes to the roll of Ash.

Sadly, you can count on it happening. Maybe not be in the next few years, or even in our lifetimes but the name will eventually be optioned for cash and Evil Dead will exist as a remake at some point. Let's hope its someone who has a real passion for this movie and not just another group of assclowns looking to make a buck on an established name ala I Am Legend...

Funny someone would suggest someone who had Hollywood success before Bruce ever did (if that's what you wanna call it) to be Bruce's successor in the role of Ash....

Matt has the same chisled jaw-line and prominent cheek bones as Bruce.
But to be honest... Nobody could replace Bruce. Fans across the globe
would be up in arms if it happened. Bruce Campbell is just so damn badass.

Those two look amazingly similar. (Was Dillon in the  Dawn of the Dead remake? There was  an actor in that who looked a lot like Bruce Campbell. Even his style of speech was similar.) They could be family members certainly.

I agree though, Bruce for Ash. In a sequel, obviously.

In a remake... weeeeel I'd rather not see a remake (although I understand Raimi is still enthusiastic about it.), but I guess Dillon would be as good as any other.
