Bale is the only reason why this trilogy will be good, especially with McG Directing and no Arnold...

I think having no Arnold will make it better, even though it would probably make more money with him in it.

Well, if it goes the way of getting to see the Terminators from the past movies engaging in time travel, then this could be great. That's what producer Moritz Borman has hinted at in the latest issue of Empire Magazine. The producer opened the doors officially on Arnold popping up in the two subsequent sequels after TERMINATOR SALVATION:THE FUTURE BEGINS. Borman also explained that the ending for the first film in this new trilogy will be held under "under very tight security" by the creators with not even the crew knowing the final 6 or 7 pages of the script, the reason being "we have a huge twist at the end, which we're being careful not to reveal. Like with the last 'Terminator' — we kept that under tight wraps so not even the crew got the last six or seven pages."
"I can tell you this much — this is the story everybody has been waiting for," he added. "Namely, we're in the future. The part of it where Arnold's character has not yet been built but is on the drawing board.
"And in the next two episodes we'll get to the point where time-travel is more in the foreground. It's the war against the machines, the start of Skynet taking over the world."
"It's convenient that he hasn't been built at this point of the story, as Arnold has more important things to do right now, but that doesn't mean he might not re-appear later in the trilogy," he said.
"He knows the material and is very supportive of what we're doing. There might even be hints of his character in this one."
Production is set to begin April 15 in Budapest for a summer 2009 release. http://www.mania.com/57015.html

Christian Bale is my only hope for this movie. The Sarah Connor Chronicles doesn't look too shabby though. Plus it preimeres on my birthday.

but since i have neither car nor money it is hard for me to get out, thus it makes going out to get movies a hard thing. compound this with the fact that i am already trying to get "man with the screaming brain" and "maniac cop", and this makes the chances of getting the terminator pretty low. then again, i buy movies often...

http://movies.ign.com/articles/851/851752p1.htmlLooks like we got our main character for the three movie story arc. Sam Worthington is not John Connor (that honor goes to Bale), but plays someone named Marcus.

It's a shame it's going too far. Terminator 1 was one of the greatest movies ever made and a lesson in how action films can also have a fantastic story not just BOOMS and BANGS. T2 was a long ad for ILM. Looking back the effects were the only thing that made that confusing, poorly acted and ultimately redundant film what it is. T3? Don't start me off.
T1 had sequel potential but I think it could've been left on one lone woman knowing what is to come. It's (and forgive my spelling) cyclical as in Kyle Reese comes back fathers the kid who sends him back and so on. Sarah becomes the lynchpin the ENTIRE future depends upon and the film sells that well from her simple waitress to hope for salvation.
So long was spent trying to stop judgement day. But time travel bendy rules say that no war - no kyle reese - no john connor. At the close of T1 she seems to get that this is the way. Then 2 came along and cocked it up royal with it's message of "no fate but what we make for ourselves" blah.
All IMO of course. And Summer Glau is so hot. Thanks to whoever posted that picture.
