I some how doubt it will happen, im sure with the slew of remakes these days they will push forward with the Evil Dead remake.

Bruce is pretty adiment these days that a sequel is not on the cards and Sam has been saying there will and wont be one for the best part of 14 years.

I agree, Its more likely it will happen in the sometime future. Once Sam is done with Spiderman, I think will see some action from the Evil Dead crew. Cool

I think an Evil Dead 4 is very iffy. I think you can pretty much count on a remake of the original coming from Ghost House in the next 3 years sometime.

K, once again.... Did nobody read the thing Bruce said? He said the remake WASNT HAPPENING. It fizzled out and went on the "Going nowhere fast" shelf. Not to mention they got a 90 percent negative response from the fanbase. Thank god too, I dont want a damn remake, hell, I'm satisfied with the movies we DO have. If anything, I wanna see Evil Dead 4, if Bruce Willis can still do it, if Harrison Ford can still do it, Ash can still do it.

I would like to see ED 4 rather than a remake. However, I'm starting to really question if either will happen but I do have my fingers crossed for Evil Dead 4.

If they do make part 4 I hope Sam strays away from the goofyness of Army of Darkness and makes it a bit darker with some comedy Like Evil Dead 2 had, an apocalypse deadites movie would be amazing.

I'd rather have a sequel anyday. I've heard what BC has said about the possible remake but I've heard otherwise from others affiliated with these movies as well.

I was watching Evil Dead 2 a couple nights ago and thought. They could make a remake...and it could have Bruce in it as Ash. It'd take minor tweaking and I'd LOVE to see Evil Dead 2 done with a more horror basis. Maybe combine the two into one long remake.

Instead of Ash and friends coming in as college students on vacation, they could come in as college faculty. Ash could be an engineering professor or something (it'd make sense for all the chainsaw alterations, etc). They could be going to spend the weekend with their friend Prof. Knowby who is already up at the cabin, etc. What they think is him being off in town getting groceries or something of the like turns into a night from hell. Deadites, chainsaws, blood, gore...the headless Linda attacking Ash coming off as horrific and frightening as it could have been.

I wouldn't worry about the fan base if I was Raimi or Campbell, people are going to nay-say ED4 and they'll nay-say the remake. You just have to do one or the other and see what happens. Look at Halloween, people talked about it and said it was horrible it was being redone and I think it was awesome. A different take, but great nonetheless.

It was great and made some money, which means they will keep doing remakes! woohooo

...Welll.....my instincts say this is never going down.
BUT, after two decades we get not one but TWO new Romero DEAD films. That's as good a sign as any the ED4 is still in the cards.

Not a bad take on a remake by the way.
Another way to go about it would be to have Bruce Campbell narrating it as a a flashback, on trial for the murders of Linda, Cheryl, Scotty, Shelly, Knowby & the ED2 gang. That then could cliff-hang into ED4.
That way we get both, and everyone's happy.
