German hardbox limited to 1000 copies ED DVD

I've just got this edition of Evil Dead off eBay, and I paid £50 (about $100) for it. Not sure what number it is, around 600 I think. Anyway, I've had someone e-mail me offering me copy number 9 for "a good offer over £50."
Are these editions worth this much to begin with, and does the fact that it's number 9 of 1000 make it worth more than number 600 of 1000? My theory has always been that the only numbered edition of something that is worth more than the rest is copy 1, and maybe the last copy, 1000 in this case.

Just want some advice on it really. Would love to own 2 copies of this edition but I don't want to be ripped off or anything.

Well I was going to buy this from ebay but I noticed that the limited number was written in biro on the back also I wasnt sure if it was a german bootleg or an official release. theres one on ther enow for 30 quid.

Well done that man! I'd be interested to know too? there are 3 copies for sale on
there at the moment but the each seem to have different covers and strangely
are all for UK sellers?

Just got a reply from one of the ebay sellers regarding the quality of within the woods,
apparently is like all the other poor quality versions doing the rounds, I'm guessing this
surely cant be a proper official release? If AB with all their cash couldn't manage to
release it officially, i cant see how this DVD producer managed to secure the rights,
even to a crappy quality version?

Yes i had that same response,  I had responses from all three people currently selling
them on ebay; 2 said its the same old crappy version and the one you mentioned
said it was from AB. guess we shall see!
