I'm a little put off that Josh Hartnet is the lead... but I loved the comic and look forward to it. I wonder if it'll strictly be the first series of 30 days of night or if it'll incorporate the others? It's a thought!

I was excited when they first announced it a good time ago. I need to finish reading the comics, only read a part of them.

I'm excited. It looks like it could be intense.
I have to grab some of the comics...

I was excited when it was announced, but when I saw the trailer I have a bad feeling about it. I will see it, but I think it might be a piece a crap.

It sounds like an interesting idea for a film and I'll most likely check it out at some point. I just don't know what to expect and so I may just hold off until it comes to dvd.

I saw it... and I didn't hate it. It was pretty true to the comic, but of course they had to beef it up to fill an hour and 45 minutes. Some parts are funny and over the top while others come off a little corny... it's definately worth checking out though if you liked the graphic novel.

I saw it Sunday night... if you like stuff like Silent Hill or Underworld, you'll get a kick out of it. But if your like me and expect something new or different you'll be disappointed.  The snow setting worked well and the overall concept was good. Ths may sound silly but the thing that let it down the most for me was the fact that they didn't ever use a stake to kill the vampires- my point being that they probably thought stakes were not 'hip' anymore. But if you just want to see blood and a typically generic Hollywood film then go see it.

I harshly rate this movie 5/10...

I finally go to watch this. I actually thought this was a suprise hit to me. I wanted a fan of how it ended, but really enjoyed it. I know it didn't do really well, but I hope we can see another one.

I thought the graphic novel was awesome and I couldn't wait for the movie. Boy did they go about it all wrong. I wanted to like the movie, I really did. But it was just so plain and boring, nothing happened. The whole movie is the group of survivors running around and hiding.

The vampires were more developed in the comics, and the story for what was going on between them in Alaska was far more interesting. Instead of trying to bring the comic to life or make it better like movies such as 300 and Sin City did, it felt like they read over the book saying "Okay, we can do without this... Don't need to have that in it.. Better change this too!"

With the right people. They could've had the potential to expand on the story the way 300 did, because there was A LOT that was left wide open in the books. It's a real crying shame they missed this opportunity.

I guess It's more my loss than it is theirs though.

If you want a real horror movie that was made recently don't rent this. Rent Inside.
