Phenomanal prop seller Profiles in History is selling one of the original Book of the Dead props!

http://cgi.liveauctions.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWAX%3AIT&viewitem=&item=230230188008&_trksid=p3984.cWAT.m240.lVI

I wondered about the authenticity of the piece until I noticed Profiles in History was running the auction.  They only deal in legit props.  I won a screen used miniature "Spinner" used in Blade Runner from them a while back.

I'm thinking about bidding but I couldn't go too high.

Truly a once in a life time oppurtunity.

I wonder if Tom Sullivan is selling it.

Too bad it only has one page.

This auction is for the latex cover 'skin' of the book only as far as I can see. Its the cover used
in ED2 rather than ED1 even though thy're using a screenshot from ED1. Actually a piece identical
to this came up about 6 months back but it didn't sell. It was re-listed at a lower price and still
didn't sell. i forget what the 'buy it now' price was, could have been $1000 (someone correct me
if i'm wrong) but it wasn't as much as the asking price in this auction. you can see the photos
from that auction posted in this thread:

If im reading the description right this is also for a seperate 'page' from the book. This could  be one
for the pages from ED2 or ED1. judging from the size listed it might be from the first film as that
book was much smaller.

Sorry, I knew it was just the cover and a page.  My post was misleading.

So is Profiles in History's discription.  I thought it looked like one from ED 2 but they're such a reputable auction house that I figured they'd get their shit right.

I was pretty sure I heard that they only had one book in ED but in the movie at least a quarter of the book is burned in the fire.  I've seen the one Tom Sulivan still has and while it has ashes all over it, it's still fully in tact.

Profiles usually doesn't auction stuff that isn't legit and for them to screw up this big is pretty rare.

Thanks for the info.
