RAMBO!!!

I saw this tonight and it was awesome. Pure dumb fun. The film was well executed and the action was top notch.

The only problems I found was the running time at 1hr27. There isn't a plot but the film has direction, where it is going I don't know! There is NO character development to speak of - Rambo has moved on from last time but doesn't really get anywhere save for a tiny wrap up that threatens to show something but fails.

The gore? Unbelievable. This film is insanely violent. But in a Road Runner way. People just BURST when shot.

That being said some moments hit too close to reality and in the midst of the cheers and "oooh's" there are some quite horrific moments.

All in all it's a 2 star action movie but is made a 4 because it's just too fun

Sly is possibly the smartest meathead around, he can actually carry himself and is really intelligent. Some people don't know that about him... but with all that intelligence and class... he's making a Cliffhanger sequel.

I always remembered Rocky and Rambo as sounding really dumb and Stallone kinda got taken that way as his real persona. I recently rewatched First Blood and his performance is oscar worthy and his speech is not slurred or heavy - he talks like a normal individual. Then Rambo IV he's slurring all over the shop.

I remeber reading how he had a number of scripts on the go and one was a biopic of Oscar Wilde. Old punchy wrote a biopic?! Of Oscar Wilde!? I then realised his intelligence was probably greater than mine. And I shut up.
