Just had a look on multimap.com and the venue doesn't look too far away from london where I am,
about 2-1/2 hours drive, athough looking through the guest list the only person I'd want to see would
be BC, and maybe Robert Englund. Not that bothered about the rest of them.

Yay for Bruce! ...Not to happy about a certain other horror idol being there, But If I did manage to get the time/money to go I'd SO be lurking around Bruce all day in a strange creepy stalker-ish way Oh Man...this is...awesome.

It's not really a problem I have with him...I just have a huge phobia of a certain character he plays And I freak out when I'm even remotley near anything that character has to do with...and also the main reason I haven't picked up the AOD crossover with him and Jason in it yet.
Silly huh? I can stand to watch all sorts of horrible things in movies but as soon as Freddy comes into the mix...I turn into a wibbling crying wuss. Pathetic huh?

I'm from Leeds. Right now it's on the line wether I can make it and if I can will I be able to afford getting something signed. A Bruce signing doesn't come around often (in fact I've never heard of a UK signing) so it's a no miss scenario really. I would love to have a phot with Englund though. I remember when Freddy was badass and would love to meet the man responsible for so many bad dreams. Mr Chainsaws? Why not get a stand and sell off your wares. Get BC involved and you have a seal of approval! All things work out I'll see you guys there. |

I haven't actually done any conventions yet, I might do so if I take EDC full time but I already have a full time job. I was thinking about testing the waters with an ebay auction though. |

There is now an almost 80% chance of me going. This is due to my amazing, adorable, gosh-darn-it-if-I-meet-bruce-i'll-marry-her girlfriend.
I feel like a cheap scumbag but she says she wants to come along (which screws up my chances with Morena Baccarin) and is ready to pay...

Ok so it's a week away....and I booked that weekend off just incase I decide to go in the end. D: What do you think guys should I risk it? I may end up torturing myself knowing that Bruce is here in the UK and I'm stuck up in the other end going "I COULDA MET BRUCE BUT NOOO I WUSSED OUT!"

This is why i'm sooo stuffed at the moment. I know of 2 scheduled appearances that never bore fruit and as I have never seen him appear at the MANY conventions in the UK I am terrified this may be it for a while.
Fifteen years is a long time to wait to meet your hero. I may have a job interview on saturday. I am very blah right now.

The only other time Bruce has made a UK convention appearance was at a Hercules/Xena convention in London in 1999, along with Ted Raimi. I was there, shook his hand, he was hilarious. But nine years is a long time ago! Shame I can't go to this one, if there was a My Name Is Bruce screening I'd be pretty sore.

If you haven't met Bruce in person I would go see him. I have gone to see the man 7 times for various appearances. It's an experience you have to do at least once in your lifetime.
