From a recent interview with Bruce Campbell over at Fangoria:

' "[BUBBA NOSFERATU] is dead to me, Campbell said flatly. It sleeps with the fishes. Don Coscarelli is a very passionate filmmaker. We got to a few points [developing the screenplay] that we couldn't reconcile. I want to keep our friendship, so we parted ways. So I'm not part of that project." '

This is sad news, Paul Giamatti still seems to be on board though. To read the entire article just click on the link above.

Sorry about that.  Grin

I honestly haven't checked the front page in a week or so, but we still need a place to discuss it.

That's a shame, I was really looking forward to that film. Not that I won't watch it even if Bruce Campbell isn't involved though. I wonder what the real bid deal was with the screenplay though? Much as I like Campbell I reckon actors tend to expect too much control nowadays, even of films they're not directing themselves.  Still I don't know the details of the break-up so it's not really fair to judge...

Oh and the Evil Dead remake isn't happening either! (Probably old news, but I haven't been back here since before the forums re, er formed so bear with me.)

I have to admit, I'm glad of that though. I don't think modern audiences will have much trouble understanding the original version.

This is a shame. Happy they're keeping the remake out though.

I was looking forward to it was well, I hope things change so that Bruce can do it but thats not saying much. I know Paul Giamatti was really looking forward to working with Bruce. I really am disappointed. Angry
