I'm thinking about picking up the Evil Dead Ult Edition. What are the "recently unearthed deleted scenes"? Are they the same that were on the other 2 big editions?

wamsley_designer, No they are totally new scenes, although its not really deleted
scenes, more raw footage of takes from start to finish. If you own previous releases
you might spot a couple of the same shots but 99% of it is new stuff. and the footage
is much better quality than previous releases.

I didn't even know this stuff was on there until I put the disc in.

It was amazing to see some of this material and I sat and watched the whole thing in one night.

Yes I know, I'd really like to see the whole of the un-edited footage but I think i read Rob Tapert
somewhere saying that that would be over 100,000 feet of film by the time the film was ready for
editing which if my calculations are right is a shade over 46 hours! (@ 24fps - 16mm - 40 frames
per foot) someone correct me on that if I'm wrong.

Im pretty sure most of the footage has been destoryed by the elements and whatever else you can think of.
